Agriculture

The active ingredient in ECA500, Hypochlorous Acid (HOCL) has aided in the agricultural industry for many years. It is critical to break the cycle of transmitting pathogens such as E. coli, Salmonella, and Listeria from the start. Recognized and approved by the FDA and USDA as a natural pesticide and antimicrobial, HOCL allows crops to grow organically. It is safe for use on animals and effectively eliminates microorganisms in close living conditions.

Frequently disinfect livestock living quarters, water troughs, crops, dairy processing equipment, food-processing equipment and utensils. For larger areas use a mist or cold fog.

ECA500 can be used to clean irrigation systems as well as cover large crop areas using in misters or cold foggers.

Recommended Fogging: Fogging is the recommended means to effectively and efficiently distribute the solution.  Under normal conditions, ECA500 can be fogged at a suggested 50 to 80. For viral hotspots or outbreaks, use a solution of 200 ppm. The major benefit to fogging would be the assurance that all surfaces are covered.

Cold foggers are highly recommended for maximum effectiveness of the ECA500 solution. Thermal foggers may compromise efficacy of solution.

A 30 minute fogging at a rate of 4-8 liters per hour is recommended 2000 cubic feet. One may require several foggers for very large areas and can be rotated after 30 minute fogging to reduce the total foggers needed.

Since ECA500 is chemical-free, it has no negative effects on either humans or animals (in low concentrations of 150-200 ppm). No hazmat suits or protective gear is required.
